Financial Assistance

Shively Area Ministries offers financial assistance to clients who are struggling to meet their own basic needs.

We require appointments for financial assistance and cannot accommodate walk-in requests.

How we can help:

• Maintain utilities such as gas, electric, water and other resources

• Provide funds for housing, including assistance with rent or mortgage payments

• Subsidize the cost of prescription drugs

Our client eligibility screening is available Monday through Thursday from 9:00 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. Due to high demand, appointments fill up quickly.

Applicants will need:

• Proof of address in the Shively Area Ministries service area (40216 ZIP code)

• A photo ID

• Social Security cards of all members of your household

• Depending upon the assistance needed, we also may require you to provide past due notice for utilities or housing, an eviction notice, a prescription or a current proof of income.
